In the Santa Cruz, CA area, the best store for brushes is Lenz Arts. They are very helpful and seem to have a good supply of Winsor and Newton Series 7 watercolor brushes to choose from.
Worth a drive. I’d never buy a brush online since I like to inspect and try them out first. Spotting photographs is precision work and you need precision tools.
